Magic mushrooms have been openly used for thousands of years around the world. Only recently have medical professionals had the opportunity to explore the benefits of psilocybin due to restrictive illicit drug laws. Take a moment to learn what we know currently, how psilocybin effects us, and the risks and benefits of shrooms.
Do you ship your products outside of Canada?
At the Magic Mushroom Shop, we know how important it is to get your products quickly and safely. That’s why we offer fast and secure delivery within Canada. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship outside of Canada at this time due to legal restrictions.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We currently take payments through Interac E-Transfer . Visa or Mastercard payments are not available yet but we are working on it.
If you’d like to use Interac E-Transfer, simply open your online banking account and go to Interac E-Transfer. After completing your order, you will be given details to finish the transfer.
How quickly will I receive my order & How can I track my order?
All orders of in-stock items will be processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Orders placed before 11am Pacific Standard Time may even qualify for same day shipping, depending on our current volume of orders.
Delivery times depend on where your package is being shipped and typically takes two days for orders in BC and Alberta, and four days for orders in Ontario or further east. However, it may take longer in certain circumstances such as near Christmas or Boxing Day, or if Canada Post is experiencing an unusually high volume of shipments.
To track an order you have placed, please wait 1-2 business days after the order is placed for it to be processed. Once the order has been processed, a shipping label will be printed and an email containing your tracking number will be sent to you. This email will also include a link to the tracking page, or if you prefer, you can copy and paste the tracking number into Canada Post’s website.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of the business, we are limited when it comes to options regarding returns and replacements. For security reasons, we cannot list an accurate return address, so any items that are “returned to sender” cannot be received by us.
If the order is not received, and it is found that the reason is because of an address related error (i.e. the building address is provided but no apartment number) then we can offer a reshipment at a cost of 50% of the original order.
We want you to be satisfied with your product from our shop! If you are not happy with it for any reason, please reach out to us at support@themagicmushroomshop.co or via our Contact Us page and we would be glad to help in any way that we can.
Is it possible to cancel or modify my order after it has been placed?
Yes, cancellations and modifications to your order must be made right away. Please reply to the automatic email or you received or send us an email at support@themagicmuhsroomshop.co with the subject line “Order Number” – CHANGE or CANCEL.
If the item is already shipped, unfortunately, it will no longer be possible to make any modifications or cancellations to your order.
Is it safe to provide my personal and payment information when using your website?
Our website is secured with SSL encryption technology to protect your information from third parties. We additionally wipe our customer database on a regular basis to limit the amount of time that your details are stored on our server. With Interac E-Transfer, we have no access to any of your banking data as this is an outgoing transaction.

Microdosing with psilocybin. What we know.
Scientific interest is taking off, by numerous claims that psilocybin may have anti-depressant and anti-anxiety effects. This may fuel a drive to open more doors for psychedelic therapy in our near future.
What is microdosing?
Microdosing means taking about 1/10 of a trip dose of a psilocybin or a psychedelic substance. This amount is too little to trigger any hallucinations but enough, as their users say, to sharpen their mind.
Little research has been done on macrodosing so far, mainly due to restrictive illicit drug laws. These are becoming more and more lenient around the world as concerns of substance abuse associated with psilocybin diminish.
Hundreds and hundreds of Psilocybin microdosers are reporting an increase in creativity, less anxiety, a decrease for the need of caffeine, and reduced symptoms of depression.
How much is a general microdose?
Microdosing requires a very specific amount of substance to experience its benefits. Too little and the results could be non-existent, but take too much and your day can be more a little more colourful than intended.
A microdose should be 1/10 of a psychedelic trip, so around 0.35 grams. Most people who microdose take 0.30 grams, but as body weight and tolerance may vary, you should start with 0.10 grams and work your way up to 0.30 grams. This is a similar method to a regular prescription schedule with your health practitioner when targeting mental health treatment.
We highly recommend our microdose products over dried magic mushrooms for better portioning. These products make for easy portioning for new microdosers. We also recommend researching macrodosing schedules for a routine that works for you.
Is Microdosing Psilocybin Legal in Canada?
It is legal if a medical professional applies to prescribe it. The Government of Canada states that health care professionals are permitted to request access to restricted drugs, including magic mushrooms that have shown promise in clinical trials or been approved in other countries through the Special Access Program. Psilocybin meets the criteria for the program.
As of January 2022, Canada included psilocybin in their exemptions for medical professionals for their patients, the Special Access Program provides access to a quality-controlled source of psilocybin. More medical professionals recognize the need to reduce chemical prescription dependencies and their side effects, hence why more natural treatments of psilocybin are bring prescribed.
Further training by practitioners involving psilocybin still remains illegal in some jurisdictions. Spencer Hawkswell, the CEO of TheraPsil, a non-profit organization that offers training to health-care practitioners in Canada explains our situation in Canada today:
“You can almost think about it like the government granting patients access to chemotherapy but making medical school and the training around chemotherapy illegal. All we would have is underground chemotherapy treatments. And that’s what’s happening today in Canada.”
Currently, there is no visible effort at the federal or provincial level to take action against the out-in-the-open sale of magic mushrooms.
